the world's largest organization for magicians. With over
14,000 members worldwide and over 300 regional organizations
(Rings) in more than 73 countries, the International
Brotherhood of Magicians is the most respected organization
for amateur and professional magicians in the world.
Member of The Society
of American Magicians - Assembly 38 The Society of American
Magicians(SAM) was formed in 1902 and is the oldest active
organization for magic in the world. With 7,500 members
and chapters in Germany, England, Japan and Hong Kong, SAM
promotes magic as entertainment and an art form.
Recognized for his services to the residents of Jackson
County, Missouri by COMBAT Harris received the 2002 Substance
Abuse Prevention Specialist Of The Year Award from COMBAT
(Comminity Backed Anti-Drug Task Force).
The Nearly Normal Magic and Puppet Show began with a shy
5-year-old during Show and Tell. After battling shyness
from elementary through high school, Harris discovered the
wonderful world of the performing arts. He has studied with
Master Puppeteer Emiline Dobbins of Kansas City. During
the early 80's, he took on the role of The Nearly Normal
Entertainer. In addition to being a skilled magician and
puppeteer, Harris is also a Nearly Normal Laughologist,
Ventriloquist, Harmonica Player, Marionette Worker, and
Weaver of Tales.
